Hollins Party of 4!

Well I am back, after a few week break from blogging I am back at it albeit with a newborn on my lap in bed with pjs on but still back! On July 21st our lives changed forever we welcomed our sweet little O into the world at 8:02 am weighing 8 lbs 2 ozs and 21 inches long. I had a scheduled C section, for medical reasons and delivered her at 39 weeks to the day. Leading up to her delivery I was on fetal monitoring twice a week, her movement was't very strong the last few weeks, my blood pressure was a little high and my swelling was a little out of control so we opted rather to be safe then sorry. With all that being said I was very happy to have made it to her scheduled date! Going into surgery awake is such a surreal experience, I had an emergency C section with C so this time around was even more surreal, I walked into the OR lol. All and all it was a very easy experience my OB had music going and we chatted the whole time, mainly her making jokes that we need to have one more baby haha. O had some fluid in her lungs when she was born and her breathing wasn't quite right, so I got my golden hour but after that she was swept away into monitoring for almost 5 hours with daddy by her side. It was really hard having her taken so early but I was getting pictures and video of her from Steve the whole time. My milk took a while to come in and we had some weight gain issues in the beginning, but It looks like we are back on track now. We have another appointment with the pediatrician on Thursday and I am eager to see how much our little jelly bean weights.

We have been in pure baby heaven, C is absolutely in love with her baby sister and wants to help me with everything she can. It is the most adorable thing to watch we love seeing how sweet she is to her sister she loves to come up to her and go "mommy she's so beautiful and tiny" melts my heart every time.  Since we have been home we have constant help first from my mom for 2 weeks then my in-laws for a week. Now we are officially alone as a family of four and adjusting well I think although its been 12 hours :-)

Family of 4!

2 Weeks with 2 kiddos I can't believe it, Love our girls so much.
Well thats all for a quick check in for now, I am back to dirty diapers, spit up and nursing.
XOXO

Bumpdate Week 37!

How far along: 37 Weeks! I like to do these as a recap for the week prior so I am currently 38 weeks, but this is my 37 week update!
Gender: GIRL
Baby Size: Swiss Chard
Maternity clothes: YUP!
Sleep: Eh, I sleep but not well I just can't get comfortable so its hard sleep on and off oh well let the no sleeping begin.
What I am looking forward too: Having her OUT!!! I am done being pregnant, I am ready to hold my little girl and have these two sisters meet. I can't wait to see Cs face when she meets her sister for the first time. All of that and my mom being here I can't wait! Two whole weeks with my mama, C is going to be the happiest kid in town.
What I miss: All the foods not being cranky and uncomfortable and in pain. The list goes on and on.
Cravings: Sushi, Wine, cold cuts etc.
Queasy or sick:  Nope!
Best Moment of the week: C randomly comes up to me every few days or hours and kisses my belly then goes "I love you so much baby sister" It makes me melt literally every time. I do wonder if she'll feel the same way once sister arrives but it has totally been the highlight of my days with her lately.

XOXO

Bumpdate Week 36!

How far along: 36 Weeks! I like to do these as a recap for the week prior so I am currently 37 weeks, but this is my 36 week update!
Gender: GIRL
Baby Size: Honeydew
Maternity clothes: YUP!
Sleep: Eh, still sleeping but its so hard I am beyond uncomfortable and ready to be able to sleep normal again, well I guess as  normal as you can with a newborn.
What I am looking forward too: Getting this kid OUT and not being so cranky and impatient all the time. I am at that point in the pregnancy where I want to explode with frustration. I am not kidding, everything and everyone annoy the crap out of me. I have the patience of a fruit fly and I am so swollen I look like Violet from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory after she ate the gum minus being blue. I feel like I can't be the mom I want to be right now because of how cranky I am so I am overcome with guilt and emotions about the new baby (post on this coming Monday) and I very badly need a BOTTLE of wine. So what am I looking forward too you ask? Being myself again, well a milk covered, sleep deprived, un-showered version of me at least.
What I miss: See above!
Cravings: Sushi, Wine, cold cuts etc.
Queasy or sick:  Nope!
Best Moment of the week: We had a really fun 4th of July with friends hanging out and grilling. C played in the pool pretty much the whole time and loved playing with all her friends. My little social butterfly talked about it for days, and having daddy home for 3 days is always a huge plus! I am getting more and more excited about doing all these things with baby sister.

XOXO

Bumpdate Week 35!

How far along: 35 Weeks! I like to do these as a recap for the week prior so I am currently 36 weeks, but this is my 35 week update!
Gender: GIRL
Baby Size: Coconut
Maternity clothes: You bet ya, but starting to get frustrated with my lack of options these days. My belly is way different then it was with C, more pointy and straight out so not many shirts are flattering, just counting down the days now.
Sleep: Not the most ideal sleep but I am making it work.
What I am looking forward too:  Meeting our sweet girl and holding her in my arms. I am so ready for her to be out.
What I miss: Not being so unbelievably uncomfortable lol
Cravings:  Nothing specific this week, although Steve had a craving for sushi and I was very jealous of what he got vs. what I got. Hahah
Queasy or sick:  Nope!
Best Moment of the week: My wonderful friends threw me a sprinkle and it was so delightful! I had so much fun and everyone was so generous. I felt every loved and enjoyed every minute of getting to hang out. I also got my last ultrasound this week and baby girl is measuring in the 55th percentile so right on average with big sister which is so exciting, everything looks good and we are getting more and more anxious to meet her.

Here are a few photos from the sprinkle!

Cravings:  Chocolate lately actually yumm!

Queasy or sick: Not really but I had a lovely bought with allergies and it so doesn't help when you cant take anything

We felt so lucky that we got to go on one more vacation just the three of us before baby sister arrives. I know C for sure appreciated all the one on one time wth mommy and daddy uninterrupted.

Gender: GIRL
Baby Size: Ear of Corn

Bumpdate Week 23

How far along: I plan to do these as a recap of the pervious week so this is my 23 week update, currently I'm 24 weeks!
Gender: GIRL
Baby Size: Eggplant
Maternity clothes: Heck yes! Don't forget to check out my awesome giveaway! Ends on Friday so you still have plenty of time to enter.
Sleep: Yes, still going well minus the whole peeing all the time thing, but I am happy I am not suffering from insomnia like I did with C.
What I am looking forward too:  Having C feel baby sister wiggle and worm, Daddy got to feel her a few times. We haven't had these two sisters corporate while one is on the run, the baby is wiggling around, when I finally get C to sit then baby girl mellows out. One day it will happen.
What I miss: Looking and feeling cute, I know this is a woah is me comment. I have totally found some awesome pieces that are super cute but I guess I am just missing my pre pregnancy body these days.
Cravings:  Nothing specific this week, but I will be honest and say bad food. I need to reel it in. I am not gaining a million pounds this time around.
Queasy or sick: Nope! YAY!
Best Moment of the week: Having our wonderful friends visit this week was truly the highlight. We had so much fun! We took C to the San Diego Zoo, spent the morning at the beach and ate out a lot. But I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Bumpdate Week 21

How far along: I plan to do these as a recap of the pervious week so this is my 21 week update, currently I'm 22 weeks!
Gender: GIRL
Baby Size: Pomegranate
Maternity clothes: Yes! All day everyday, but I did manage to squeeze in this adorable dress for Easter. I may got it in white for maternity photos, I feel like it would look beautiful when photographed. Plus white dress on the beach, yes please before I am covered in spit up.
Sleep: Can I get some more please, how does one put in a request additional sleep?  I can fall asleep anywhere and everywhere, which for those who know me well never happens. I want to take a nap all the time, which is so hard with a 2 year old running around. It usually hits me by 2 pm so afternoons here have turned into movie time.
What I am looking forward too: Easter! I am so excited for C to see her easter basket and see the look on her face easter morning.
What I miss: SUSHI! Can I just have a plate of yellowtail and some chopsticks please!! Until then I will dream of having it for dinner the day I give birth because yup thats happening.
Movement: Yes all the time, she is pretty calm at night and more active during the day. I would be the happiest mama in the whole wide world if she's like then when she emerges.
Cravings: Yes, SUSHI! hahaha
Queasy or sick: Not to bad this week, moments here and there but nothing big.
Best Moment of the week: Taking C to see the Easter bunny and having her ask for a "pink puppy". Funny story she has mentioned this puppy surprise thing she's seen on Disney Jr. a few times but nothing big, we were in target alone on Tuesday (WHAT! haha) Any who on a whim Steve and I bought a pink puppy surprise for her Easter basket, funny enough she's been begging me for one since then and has NO clue we bought one!
XOXO

Bumpdate Week 20! Halfway!

AHHH How are we already halfway though this pregnancy!

How far along: I plan to do these as a recap of the pervious week so this is my 20 week update, currently I'm 21 weeks!
Gender: GIRL
Baby Size:  Banana
Maternity clothes:  OH yeah! I got some new yoga pants too. I ended up getting the ones I had already from C, these are actually the right size and not baggy haha
Sleep: Not too bad, although I will admit I can take a nap whenever. I am exhausted come 2pm so its hard chasing C when all I want to do is nap. Ah wouldn't that be nice.
What I am looking forward too:  Having C and Steve feel the baby. I felt her a few times this week with my hand over the belly so as soon as she cooperates I hope they will feel her soon. Maybe I can get C reaction on video!
What I miss: C being little, with each and everyday that passes, I watch her get older and older. I remember all these things and how I felt with her in my belly and I can't believe we are doing this again. It just goes to show you how fast it all goes.
Movement: Yes a lot more. My placenta is still in front so it's very faint but I feel her moving and rolling round, occasionally there are some more jabs.
Cravings: FOOD! hahaha I have been so hungry lately. I'll eat anything and everything these days.
Queasy or sick: Honestly a little bit this week, but I think I got Cs cold so I'm pretty sure that had a lot to do with it.
Best Moment of the week: Feeling baby girl with my hands, and getting to see her on the ultrasound. She was stubborn and wouldn't move so we may have a mini C on our hands.

XOXO

Bumpdate Week 19

How far along: I plan to do these as a recap of the pervious week so this is my 19 week update, currently I'm 20weeks!
Gender: GIRL
Baby Size: Tomato
Maternity clothes: Heck yes! I am now on the hunt for new yoga pants, still wearing the ones I wore to death C lol. I think they have seen better days.
Sleep: Not so bad, just waking up to pee mainly. I need to stop drinking water by like 7pm or something haha.
What I am looking forward too: Having Steve and C feel baby girl move. I really can't wait to see how C reacts to feeling her sister squirm around in my belly.
What I miss: Nothing too much this week. I really feel like I am enjoying being pregnant which is nice, hey at least I get a month or two like this until I am so over it haha.
Movement: Yes, a ton of rolls and jabs here and there. More constant durning the day which is the opposite of C who moved a ton at night. Could this mean I have a sleeper, doubtful but wishful thinking thats for sure.
Cravings: Nothing really this week, so not too interesting.
Queasy or sick: NO! Woo hoo. I still have very occasional moments of super nausea or feelings like I'm about to puke but thankfully they are very few and far between.
Best Moment of the week: Having my childhood friend and her husband here to visit. We had so much fun! It was so nice having them here we went to Disney and Malibu and I feel like I got to adult for a few days which was pretty awesome.

Bumpdate Week 17 & 18

Since we were away while I was 17 weeks, I didn't get to write an update. I had every intention of trying to blog while in Disney but lets be real I was too tired to try. So I am currently 19 weeks but here is my 17 and 18 week Bumpdates!

How far along: I plan to do these as a recap of the pervious week so this is my 17 week update, currently I'm 18 weeks!
Gender: GIRL
Baby Size: Turnip, I don't think I've ever purchased a turnip haha
Maternity clothes: Oh heck yes! Looking for suggestions on some cute tops. So if anyone has any let me know. I feel like cute maternity tops are so hard to find. I need something comfortable and cute, open to suggestions.
Sleep: Pretty good actually, how does one knock on wood on here haha. The pregnancy pillow I mentioned in the previous bump date post is FANTASTIC. It was exactly what I needed. I will admit however that I can pretty much take a nap wherever, whenever.
What I am looking forward too: Feeling her move and shake more, and having big sister feel her move around too. Also, our Disney World trip!
What I miss: Still certain foods and WINE. What I wouldn't give for a huge glass of pino right now.
Movement: Yes, little by little the feelings are getting stronger and stronger.
Cravings: Nothing specific, besides all foods I am not allowed to have haha
Queasy or sick: Nope! I am FINALLY not pukeing its glorious.
Best Moment of the week: Heading to DISNEY WORLD! We can't wait to show the peanut Disney world, she's going to love it!

How far along: I plan to do these as a recap of the pervious week so this is my 18 week update, currently I'm 19 weeks!
Gender: GIRL
Baby Size: Bell Pepper!
Maternity clothes: Nothing new but still on the hunt for some tops. I'm trying not to over buy this pregnancy. With C I bought so much stuff just because it was inexpensive, but this time around I want pieces that will last. So I am being pretty picking on what I get.
Sleep: Still pretty good, I mean I did spend the whole week walking around Disney World so that helped a bit I'm sure but for the most part sleep has been great!
What I am looking forward too: More movement and having C and Steve feel it. I can't wait to se how C reacts when she feels my belly move.
What I miss: Being able to do more, I feel so bad for C but mommy can't walk around holding her in my arms or in the ergo these days. Desn't feel good on my belly and puts a lot of pressure on her sister. She's only 2 so she doesn't really get it, trying to explain that to her has been hard.
Movement: Yup, more consistently now. Which is the best! Without going into detail we had a little scare while we were in Disney. Baby girl is fine and so is mama, but we found out my placenta is in front which could be why I don't feel her move as much as she is. I'm glad I got to see her though knowing she's ok made the trip a lot less stressful.
Cravings: All foods MICKEY! Haha which I got in full force this week so that was awesome.
Queasy or sick: Nope!
Best Moment of the week: Watching C at Disney World! Best week EVER! She met tons of princess and all her character friends it was heavenly. I will be doing a 2 part post on our trip soon so stay tuned!

XOXO

Bumpdate Week 15

How far along: I plan to do these as a recap of the pervious week so this is my 15 week update, currently I'm 16 weeks!

Gender: GIRL

Baby Size: Navel Orange

Maternity clothes: Oh yeah! We have a trip to Florida coming up and since it's also been 85 degrees here in California I ordered some maternity shorts. I guess we are skipping spring this year geeze. haha

Sleep: Not bad actually, watch now that I've said that I'll never sleep again. I had horrible insomnia with C and was kind of expecting the same the second time around but I guess it's just anther one of those moments that proves every pregnancy is so different.

What I am looking forward too: Feeling baby girl move! Yup still the same from last week although I am convinced I felt some flutters. I can't wait to really feel her squirm.

What I miss: This is a tough one this week, but I would say sushi is pretty high on the list still. Why is it we always want what we can't have?

Movement: Nothing yet, besides a few flutters here and there just nothing consistent.

Cravings: I'm sure some of you saw on Instagram but I had a huge craving for raspberry sorbet the other night. It's so funny how a craving can just hit you all of a sudden and then boom that's the only thing you can think of until it's satisfied. Lucky for me I have a pretty super amazing husband who ran out and got me exactly what I wanted. Thanks again babe!

Queasy or sick: This week wasn't so bad actually, I think I only got sick once which is a HUGE improvement for me. A few boughs of nausea but nothing compared to weeks prior, maybe I am finally moving past the super sick stage only time will tell.

Best Moment of the week: Taking C to the dentist. Ha! So we were slacker parents and didn't take her to the dentist yet. We finally got our act together and she went for her first appointment yesterday, and can I brag about my kid for a minute she did AMAZING!!! She made it through the entire cleaning with no tears and got her whole mouth done while watching frozen of course. The best part was how proud she was of herself, she talked about it all last night. "Mommy the doctor cleaned my teeth and I  got strawberry toothpaste" It was the cutest thing EVER! A huge part of that was the office we went too, fantastic staff and so great with kiddos.

XOXO

Bumpdate the first trimester

As adorable as my chalkboard photos with C were I decided to keep it super simple this time around while still using the Chalkboard.

First tremester, well this was quite a doozy. I felt like complete crap the majority of the time and to be honest I still do most days. I was great when we first found out then from there on out it was puke city. We found out after a trip to Texas for my beautiful best friends wedding. While we were there I felt extra nauseous the whole time, Steve made mention that he hadn't been feeling well either travel sometimes does that to us. In an effort to prove him wrong when we got home from the airport I told him I had to pee and ran upstairs to the bathroom and took a test. I waited in anticipation for a few minutes and kept thinking he was going to run up the stairs any minute. When the test flashed pregnant I was in a little bit of shock, I ran downstairs and grabbed C. Steve was still unpacking the car form our trip, so I wispered to C to tell daddy she's a big sister! It came out more like "I'sss ister Daddy", Steve looked at me in total confusion and I had C repeat herself, finally he said "babe what's she saying?" I laughed and said "She's trying to tell you she's going to be a Big Sister" He looked at me in total shock and wanted to know how I took a test so fast and when I did it! Ha! We couldn't stop smiling, C didn't really get it but now she knows baby sister is in mommies tummy. It's so cute how she keeps trying to see her sister and talk to her. I believe my heart will officially melt watching the two of them together, I can't wait for July!

Second Trimester

How far along: I plan to do these as a recap of the pervious week so this is my 14 week update, currently I'm  15 weeks!

Gender: GIRL

Baby Size: Nectarine

Maternity clothes: Yup, and super
comfortable. I resisted this a bunch with C. When I found out we were expecting again one of the first things I got excited about was my maternity jeans. Bring em on! I bought a few pairs of Paige Denim, best decision ever! I had some cheaper pairs with C and threw those out, which I am so glad I did. I recently went though my wardrobe with my bestie, which I plan on doing a post on soon. In doing that I eliminated most of those crappy pieces and decided to focus on more quality pieces, which I plan to do with this bump this time around.

Sleep: So far not so bad, baby wise. The peanut had another bought of bad sleep but we seem to be on a better track with that thank goodness. Other then that I just get up 3-5 times a night to pee, eh what else is new.

What I am looking forward too: Showing more and not looking like I ate 700 doughnuts. Right now  I have that weird belly, where I know I'm pregnant but joe on the street doesn't.

What I miss: Ugh, so much right now cravings are going wild. I have complied a list of things I will be getting when we are in the hospital. Sushi, Italian cold cuts, and of course wine. But I will survive.

Movement: Nothing yet, can't wait now that I know what to look for I feel like I may feel it sooner then I did last time around or that can be wishful thinking.

Cravings: Burgers, which I don't eat red meant so thats been interesting. Any salty foods too usually.

Queasy or sick: Ugh so so so so sick. I was never this sick with C its been really rough as I mentioned before. I hope now that I'm moving into the second trimester it finally goes away.

Best Moment of the week: Sharing our news has been the highlight.

XOXO
