Aulani!

Our view from the 16th floor when we got off the elevators.

This was on the bed when we checked in C loved it and then wanted to wear her "flower clip" the whole trip.
Aloha! Well if you follow in on Instagram you know we just got back from an epic week in Aulani! We had the absolute BEST time seriously I cannot say that enough. We are already trying to decide when to take our next trip back. The whole resort was so luxurious and the staff was beyond accommodating. They were over the top delightful as most Disney cast members are and so sweet with C it was really great. Next time when we go back we plan to take advantage of Auntys beach house, C was just too little this time around but we got to go in a play one morning and she had a blast. On Tuesday we got to do the character breakfast which was not only delicious but so much fun, she took pictures with Mickey when we first walked in, then Minnie and Goofy were walking around. Then throughout the whole week there were characters all around the pool and lazy river, we met Donald and Stitch and saw Chip and Dale a few times.
Playing on the beach during the toddler time splash and play.

Meeting vacation Donald.

Doing the Menehune Adventure trail, she loved the "Magic" of it all.

My favorite photo of the trip!

Hanging with Stitch!

Luckily we were also across the street from a shopping center so we were able to walk over and get coffee, cereal and fruit for the room. That was so nice and we saved some money on breakfast too! There was also a few yummy spots to eat over there, Monkeypod was AMAZING and I highly recommend it if you are staying in the area. Then we went over to pizza corner, Steve had poke pizza which looked amazing. He loved it! The fish I had while we were there was beyond fresh, but I plan on not being pregnant next time so I can partake in the poke and sashimi too haha.
The food at the resort was so delicious, we had fabulous meals. Everything was so fresh and prepared so well. They also had refillable drink cups that we purchased in the beginning of the trip and we were able to get coffee, tea, and soft drinks all week. There is shaved ice and dole whips on premises! Score! We had a rental car for a day and made our way to the dole plantation which was pretty cool, C loved looking for the pineapples. Then we headed over to Waikiki, it was crazy crowded so we just took in the beautiful scenery and then headed back to the hotel, since C fell asleep on the drive.

She insisted on taking this photo like this too cute!
Aunties Beach house

Another photo shoot she insisted on on our balcony.

Pool party with Goofy

A view from lunch at the Ama Ama

Splash pad!

Dole whip at the store across the street, oh my god so yummy.
All and all it was the perfect family vacation and a great way to get away just the three of us before baby sister arrives. We are so lucky Hawaii is so close 5 hour plane ride it nothing for this kid, since she's so used to flying to the east coast. Steve and I joke that it will become our go to destination for while when the kids are young and you bet Aulani will be repeat. If you are looking for the perfect family friendly destination then please consider Aulani, you will love it I promise!
XOXO

Mama Got a Vacation!

Aloha, if you follow me on instagram then you know we are currently in Hawaii on a baby moon :-) with our peanut of course. But before I tell you about our family trip (separate post) I wanted to tell you about my moms trip. A few friends and I all went out to Palm Springs for a few days without the kiddos or hubbys. I was so nice to just hang by the pool have some girl chat and veg. We all never get to do that so it was a real treat. I must say one of the highlights of the trip had to be that when I called Steve one night he asked me how my trip was going, I replied with "Great super relaxing!" Now not to brag about my amazing husband, but man he deserves some super brownie points for his response he then goes "I am so glad babe you really needed that, I know you work hard but man being with C then past two days and doing everything you do, you're amazing and you totally deserved this break." I know he knows how hard it is to be home with a toddler all day, even while pregnant, but the fact that he said it made me feel like he really understood. It truly was so wonderful to hear! Love you babe!
Heading out to dinner one night with these lovely mamas.

We really had so much fun just talking and ordering yummy food.  Thanks for the trip ladies so happy we all did this together. I believe it should be a yearly occurrence.
Smores before bed, yes please! I even stayed up till midnight Woah!
Ok onto the trip, we really did just lay by the pool all day and hang. No diapers, no mommy do this, nobody to answer too was lovely and just what this tired pregnant mama needed. Now I am super lucky since I got a double dose and we are hanging in Hawaii as a family.
XOXO

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday everyone! Can you still say happy when it's Monday?
We had a delightful weekend over here, and because I know you're anxiously awaiting my post telling you what we did, lets just dive right in shall we?

Friday I was that mom and snapped a picture of her sleeping. So precious. Please stay little forever!

Saturday was raining here. Which NEVER happens. We are under a horrible drought here in California and when it rains it's cause for celebration. The peanut never ever gets to see this wet stuff so she was flipping out saying and signing rain like a pro. It was hilarious. We then headed over to daddies office to drop off these beauties.
He's slowing starting to let me decorate his office and it makes me very happy to do so. Then we grabbed some sushi, and this kid gobbled up miso soup, a California roll, chicken teriyaki, vegetable  tempura and so much rice. She's totally our daughter.
Sunday started out with a copious amount of coffee as it always does.
If you've ever been to Maui and had the pleasure of going to Lava Java then I'm sure you've seen these bright red bags.
We went last September but didn't leave the resort since the peanut was so little. Lucky for us our dear friends went not too long after us and after a tip from her sister they brought us home some. Now why and I telling you this? Because it's by far my absolute favorite coffee ever! And you can buy it online. So do yourself a favor and order a bag or 12 you will not be disappointed.

Sunday morning cartoons
Sunday was beautiful in the morning so we did something we've never done with her before and took her too the splash pad. She was hesitant at first but after a little she became obsessed and I was greatful we were able to tear her away with minimal tantrums. I didn't snap any photos with my phone because I too was soaked and thought it would be best to leave it in the car. I did however manage to snap a few on our old waterproof disposable camera we've had for almost a year. It's going to be super fun when we get that printed.
I also snapped this pic of my mom-do which I know you're all so jealous by....not. I need to up my hair game. This is where I slack the most. Any tips? Tricks? I'm all ears! Leave them in the comments below.
I hope you all had a beautiful and fun weekend

Our Weekend

Happy Monday! We had a lovely Fathers Day weekend! As usual we both had an extra hard time letting daddy leave this morning for work. It's always the hardest part of sundays right? Knowing that in the morning you start the week all over again and have to wait another 5 days to play. Someone needs to work on the whole 4 day work week thing. Just saying.

We had a very low key fathers day weekend, which is exactly what he requested.
Saturday was spent hanging out and going out for a yummy lunch. Then it ended with a super cool dinner with friends. We went to a "speak easy", like need to know where the entrance is to get in kinda place. For all you locals, we went to the Blind Rabbit. The friends we went out with suggested it and it was sublime! The food and drinks were amazing and the ambiance was fantastic, but the company and adult conservation was my favorite. We all shared a few of their dishes so we could try a bunch. The duck confit mac and cheese, and street dogs take the cake in my book! If you live in the OC totally check it out.

Then sunday was wonderful.
I made steve buttermilk french toast in the morning, if you follow me on instagram I'm sure you saw (@bumpsbabesandbellins). He loved the video by the way, which made it a total win for yours truly.

We visited the farmers market and watched peanut twirl around in her dress. That was by far one of the best moments for this girl mom, seeing her grab her sunglasses, purse, and kiss the dog goodbye, then twill. My heart melted! So sweet.

We had lunch at a food truck, one of Steves favorites. Went to home depot, because really where else do you go on Fathers Day? Peanut had a melt down while we were there, luckily we live close so we rushed home and put her down for a nap. When she woke up we had a mini water balloon fight, which I of course neglected to take photos of. Then played in the water table till bath time.

All and all it was a perfect weekend, as many of them are. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend celebrating dad!
XOXO

Sweet Summer time

With summer time in full swing over here, I thought it might be fun to do a bucket list of things we want to do this summer since we will actually be HOME! Can you believe it? As of now we aren't going anywhere in July or August! Pinch me I must be dreaming!
You see we travel A LOT, and traveling with a almost 17 month old has not been all peaches and roses. So we are truly looking forward to being home for awhile and hanging around.
1. BEACH. BEACH. BEACH oh hey have mentioned the beach?
2. find the BEST splash pad in the area
3. stay out late enough to actually see the fireworks
4. have a water balloon toss
5. go to the fair and eat way too many fried foods and things on sticks
6. make smores after dinner with the peanut, while making sure she doesn't get too close to the fire
7. go to a movie on the lawn
8. attempt to go to zoo before it gets way to hot
9. make the best sangria ever
10. go to the children's museum or pretend city as a family
11. actually make it to one of the peanuts swimming lessons
12. do a watermelon tour at the farm
13. trampoline park
14. let the peanut watch her first disney princess moves (beauty and the beast) hoping she loves it as much as mommy

"A drink in my hand, my snow up against the burring sand Prob'ly getting gorgeously tanned In summer"
Minus the snow part, and lots of sunscreen, this will be this summers motto!
XOXO
