Bellinis

If it's in the name...
I figured since I included it in the blog name I had to have a recipe right? So here is one of my favorite Bellini recipes.

What you'll need:
1 bag of frozen peaches (16 ounces) thawed or 3 fresh
1/2 cup sugar
1 bottle of prosecco, you can also use any sparkling wine, Just make sure it's chilled!
1/4 cup water
Zest of an orange

What to do:
Take the sugar and water and create a simple syrup. Heat over medium until the sugar dissolves and begins to thicken. Remove from heat.
Then take the thawed peaches and puree in food processor or blender, add simple syrup. Zest the orange into the puree and stir. Remove from food processor and set aside.
Begin to fill champange glasses with 1-2 tablespoons of the peach puree. Then pour processo over it!

The peach puree can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge overnight.
I have also made this with mangos, strawberries or blueberries. They make great brunch drinks. You can even do a bellini bar at your next event.
Enjoy!

So why Bellinis? Well not just because they are delicious and go with everything in my opinion, but because I needed something to tie together what this whole blog was about. Bumps and babes I think kind of explain themselves, you will see me talking about pregnancy, breast feeding and toddler tantrums.  Then theres dinner parties and home decor, where does that all fit in? Then I thought bellinis can represent the rest of life, life outside of play dates and poopy diapers. So there you have it the inspiration to my mom blog, a adult beverage. Fitting right? Haha
XOXO
